Sculpted Concrete. Ca 1970’s. This piece shows the influence of Aztec scupture, Hastings studied in Mexico City at the Escuela de Pintura y Escultura under Diego Rivera. In 1972 Jack and his partner, textile artist Arlyn Ende, moved to Tenneesee eventually settling in Sewanee where they built their studio Deep Woods. H 16 1/2” D 14 3/4”.
